Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Medicine has implemented a groundbreaking application in online education due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the application, which leverages all the benefits of technology for students, anatomy lessons explained on a cadaver are conducted synchronously (live) with special camera-equipped glasses.
With smart glasses produced by Vuzix, students can simultaneously watch all practical applications during the lesson from their instructors' perspective, from their screens wherever they are.
Cadaver training is conducted with smart glasses...
Üsküdar Üniversitesi, which embraces the concept of a 'phygital' university with its investments in science and technology, has taken its remote education applications, suitable for the COVID-19 pandemic, a step further by launching 'anatomy lessons with smart glasses'.
Thanks to the smart glasses used by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Usta, Head of the Anatomy Department of the Faculty of Medicine, during synchronous anatomy lessons, some students can follow the lesson both individually and on a giant screen in a diluted environment, while others can track all the details of the lesson from their instructor's perspective on their home computers using glasses equipped with an HD camera.
