The exhibition was organized under the supervision of Dr. Lecturer Nuray Ergindir Küçükkaya from Üsküdar University's Faculty of Communication, Visual Communication Design Department. Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Küçükkaya said; “Today, we are thrilled to share with you our linocut works, an original technique we produced together with our students. We sincerely thank all of you for sharing this excitement. With this exhibition, we aimed to remind everyone of the meaning of craftsmanship in today's digitalized design world. The printing technique used in the exhibition dates back to the 3rd century in China and has since spread to various cultures, covering a wide range from book illustrations to daily life. In the 20th century, it also found its place in the works of important artists such as Matisse and Picasso. The linocut technique reveals the power of artistic production based on manual labor and represents a very valuable artistic stance today. In our exhibition, as students and academics of the Visual Communication Design Department of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Communication, we brought together the works we produced using this technique. This exhibition brings together academia and students in a common production process and invites you all on this graphical journey.”
