Graduation Projects Raise Awareness…

Within the scope of the campaign prepared for the graduation project by six young senior students of Üsküdar University, awareness was created through the activities held.

Under the consultancy of Dr. Lecturer Nejla Polat, six young senior students from Üsküdar University's Faculty of Communication launched a campaign called "Be Aware While Living." Through projects carried out within the university to eliminate the psychological and health problems brought into our lives by the pandemic, students gained awareness.

Under the consultancy of Dr. Lecturer Nejla Polat, 4th-year students of the Public Relations Department of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Communication, Harun Güzey, M. Emin Özdemir, Ahmet Şahin, Fırat Yalçın, M. Fatih Kızıldağ, and Burak Acun, launched a campaign with the slogan "No Question Marks for a Healthy Life." The activities they carried out to inform about psychological and health problems brought into our lives by the pandemic, raise awareness about healthy living, improve monotonous life levels, encourage sports, and provide psychological motivation garnered significant attention.

Within the scope of the campaign, on June 1, students set up a stand at Üsküdar University's South Campus and shared the purpose, goals, process, and social media accounts of their campaign with interacting students. Additionally, with the "Wish Balloons Event" held under the slogan "Send Your Wishes to the Sky," the psychological motivation leg of the event was completed thanks to the intense participation of both academic staff and students.

With the campaign named "Be Aware While Living," students from all faculties of Üsküdar University showed great interest in the "Racquets Ready, Are You Ready?" table tennis tournament held on June 9 as part of the campaign's sports encouragement leg. After the table tennis tournament, the championship award was presented to the winning student, Mustafa Enes Aktaş, by Dr. Lecturer Nejla Polat.

During the information phase of the campaign, participants of the conference "Do You Want to Be Aware of Your Health Too?" held on June 11 via Zoom included; Dr. Lecturer Zeynep Gümüş Demir from the Psychology Department of Üsküdar University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, who gave a presentation on "The Psychology of Epidemic Diseases," and Assistant Doctor Merve Kaplan from Haydarpaşa Numune Hospital's Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Department, who presented on "The Biological Dimension of Infectious Diseases," providing information about the biological and psychological problems brought into our lives by the pandemic.

The conference concluded with a question-and-answer session involving participating guests and students.
