Üsküdar Üniversitesi, which signed a cooperation protocol with BOSİAD concerning the Z Plan aimed at building a bridge between young people and the business world, continued its efforts in Bursa.

The BOSİAD Z Plan, which aims for employers to understand Generation Z, increase new generation participation in businesses, retain them, and help new generation leaders and managers understand their roles in multi-generational workplaces, is expanding and branching out into new projects to be evaluated within the scope of BEBKA’s Innovation and Productivity Financial Support Program.
BOSİAD Board Member Özgür Şahin, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Young Brains Academy (GBA) Director Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, and Faculty of Communication Dr. Lecturer Aylin Tutgun Ünal visited BEBKA Secretary General Assoc. Dr. M. Zeki Durak to evaluate the potential studies to be carried out in Bursa within the scope of the Z Plan.
Receiving information about the 2020 Project Proposal Call from Secretary General Durak, the members decided to further expand the studies to enhance the qualifications of the Z Council to be established under the Z Plan.
If BOSİAD receives support from BEBKA’s 2020 Project Proposal Call for its Innovation and Productivity Financial Support Program, it will work with the youth of the Z Council at the BOSİAD Smart Specialization and Innovative Productivity Center (BOSİADMER) it will establish.
In BOSİADMER, which will host 9 different innovative workshops, the aim is to support the active participation in the labor market of university students who will be members of the Z Council, as well as blue-collar and white-collar employees from Generation Z.

An intergenerational compatibility scale will be developed in business life…
In addition to scales aimed at measuring the awareness and attitudes of Z Council members who will participate with companies in each workshop, an intergenerational compatibility scale in business life will be developed for the first time as an innovative application scale within the scope of these workshops.
What’s in the BOSİAD Z Plan?
The BOSİAD Z Plan, launched under the academic consultancy of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, to produce sound policies, understand generational differences, develop mutual understanding, and prepare for the future together with a common roadmap, will be sustained for at least 2 years to achieve its results.
Firstly, the BOSİAD Z council will be established to convey the message “Ready or not, here we come” to the business world. The Z council will consist of 66 members, including students studying in vocational and general high schools in Bursa and in Uludağ Üniversitesi's environmental engineering, sociology, chemistry, mechanical, textile, and computer departments, as well as blue and white-collar employees identified by companies from different sectors such as machinery, automotive, textile, and food in Bursa OSB. All generational representatives at the employer level will also be included in the Z Council High Advisory Board, which will be established to guide the Z Council.
Training programs to be provided in line with the needs determined by the BOSİAD Z Council will be carried out by the BOSİAD XYZ Academy, another pillar of the Z Plan. The BOSİAD XYZ Academy will utilize the Generation Z Training Modules prepared within the scope of Üsküdar Üniversitesi's 'Generation Z at University' project. Additionally, experiences about Bursa industry will be shared, and production-oriented experiences will be provided. Local, national, and international industrialists, businesspeople, and thought leaders will be positioned as speakers in the workshops.
The Z Council will announce the Z Report with a press conference at the end of each year after the workshops, under the coordination of BOSİAD.
