Üsküdar Üniversitesi held ceremonies across all its campuses as part of the commemoration events for the 83rd anniversary of the passing of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Founder of our Republic. On November 10th, at five past nine, flags were lowered to half-mast, and a 1-minute moment of silence was observed accompanied by sirens.
As Üsküdar Üniversitesi, we once again commemorate our Atatürk with respect, love, and gratitude.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi annually holds commemoration events on November 10th, Atatürk Commemoration Day and Atatürk Week. On November 10, 1938, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, closed his eyes to his beloved homeland and life. Atatürk, who should be an example to everyone with the importance he gave to education, women, and animals, saddened the Turkish Nation deeply with his passing. Atatürk, who was frequently taken as an example and loved not only by the Turkish people but also by other nations, bid us farewell on November 10, 1938, at five past nine. Atatürk has been commemorated with various events every November 10th since his death.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi academic and administrative staff, along with their students, commemorated Mustafa Kemal Atatürk across all campuses when the clocks showed 09:05.
Moreover, students from the History Club and Sev Kardeşim Club visited the Great Leader Atatürk in his tomb with a trip to Anıtkabir on November 10th, Atatürk Commemoration Day and Atatürk Week.
