Full accreditation from MEDEK for SHMYO Programs!

The First and Emergency Aid and Medical Laboratory Techniques programs within Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) successfully completed the evaluation process conducted by MEDEK and were granted “Full Accreditation.” The programs, whose educational infrastructure and academic qualifications were evaluated within the scope of the field visit, demonstrated that they meet professional education quality standards. 

Within the scope of the field visit conducted by MEDEK on October 30-31 and November 1, 2025, the education-training processes, academic qualifications, physical and technological infrastructures, and practical opportunities of the First and Emergency Aid and Medical Laboratory Techniques programs were comprehensively evaluated. 

At the end of the field visit, the program exit statement was read, and the evaluation process was completed.

Educational Infrastructure Inspected On-Site

The evaluation process was carried out under the coordination of SHMYO Deputy Directors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Feride Kulalı Özdek and Lect. Esad Sadık Demirtaş.
The evaluation team inspected the laboratories, practical training areas, workshops, and classrooms located on the campus, obtaining detailed information about the educational infrastructure. 

Full Accreditation Valid Until 2029!

According to the official results announced by MEDEK, both the First and Emergency Aid and Medical Laboratory Techniques programs were granted “Full Accreditation” valid between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2029.

This achievement once again registered Üsküdar University SHMYO’s commitment to quality assurance in vocational education and its practice-oriented training approach.
