Üsküdar University and İstanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education organized an event within the scope of 2019 Fuat Sezgin Year activities. The results of the essay contest titled “Fuat Sezgin Against the Western Center of Science”, which was attended by high school students in İstanbul were announced.
Sena Nur Dilek from Bağcılar Anatolian High School won the first prize with “Fuat Sezgin's Services and Importance in the History of Islamic Science and Technologies”.
Yılmaz Baha from Kadıköy Hayrullah Kefoğlu Anatolian High School became second with “A Life Devoted to Science”.
İhsan Burak Ergin from Şişli Mehmet Pisak Anatolian High School received the third place with “The Piri of the Enlightened: Fuat Sezgin”.
