Founder of Africa's First Cancer Research Center Visits Üsküdar University

Üsküdar University continues its international collaborations in academic studies. In this context, Prof. Dr. Souad Amghar from Mohammed University in Rabat, Morocco, visited Üsküdar University. Amghar, who is the founder of the first cancer-focused research center in Africa, met with Üsküdar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk. During the visit, where scientific collaboration was discussed, Prof. Dr. Amghar toured the laboratories.

As part of Üsküdar University's academic collaborations, it hosted a visitor from Rabat, Morocco. Prof. Dr. Souad Amghar from Mohammed University visited Üsküdar University. 

Africa's First Cancer-Focused Research Center…

Prof. Dr. Souad Amghar, founder of the first cancer-focused research center in Africa, had researched the potential anti-carcinogenic effects of endemic plant extracts in cancer research. In this regard, the cancer research center in the region holds the distinction of being the first and only one.

Ideas Exchanged

During the meeting held in the office of Üsküdar University Vice Rector and Head of the Molecular Biology Master's Program Department, Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, ideas were exchanged with Prof. Dr. Souad Amghar. 

Amghar, who wanted to closely examine Üsküdar University's studies, later toured the laboratories accompanied by Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk and received information from the relevant personnel.
