An event titled “A Cardiovascular Perspective on Foot Wounds” was organized by the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Podology Program. The guest of the event was Dr. Hasan Murat Arslan, Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist from Fatih Sultan Mehmet Training and Research Hospital. Arslan explained the role of chronic disease-related foot wounds, circulatory disorders, and the cardiovascular system in the healing process. Sharing his clinical experiences, Arslan emphasized the importance of correct wound assessment and invited students to continuously read and research.

The program, held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Çarşı Campus Beylerbeyi Conference Hall, attracted significant interest from SHMYO academics and students from the Podology Program.
The event specifically addressed chronic disease-related foot wounds, circulatory disorders, and the role of the cardiovascular system in the healing processes.
Dr. Hasan Murat Arslan conveyed important professional information to podology students based on his clinical experiences.

Dr. Arslan: “You need to love the wound”
Dr. Arslan, who conducts studies on wounds developing due to vascular surgery and circulatory disorders, stated that a successful treatment approach is based on mastering the patient's condition and the characteristics of the wound; “You need to love the wound… You will love the wound, and then you will be successful in this work,” he said.
“I learn something from every patient”
Emphasizing the importance of continuous learning to students, Arslan drew attention to the continuity of professional development, advising; “I learn something from every patient. I read. You should also read and follow up.”

Throughout the event, Dr. Hasan Murat Arslan shared both his theoretical knowledge and field experiences, answering students' questions and conducting an interactive and productive session.
