As Turkey's first thematic university in the fields of Behavioral Sciences and Health, Üsküdar University continues its success with its 'First Registered European Patent'. Under the coordination of Üsküdar University's R&D and Innovation Policies Directorate, the patent titled 'Use of Triethyl Orthoacetate in the Treatment of Metal Overload Diseases' received its certificate.

Among the inventors who achieved Üsküdar University's 'First Registered European Patent' success are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Belkıs Atasever Aslan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaan Yılancıoğlu, and Lecturer Dr. Ahmet Can Timuçin.
Üsküdar University R&D and Innovation Policies Directorate stated in its announcement, 'The patent certificate issued by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office has reached Üsküdar University. The validity application for the European patent was completed in Turkey on 01.12.2020.'
