First and Emergency Aid students ranked in Medi-Rally…

Students from the First and Emergency Aid Program of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSOHS) achieved significant success in the “SosyalFest Medi-Rally” event. The Üsküdar University team, which successfully completed all four stages, finished the Psychiatric Emergency Stage in first place and ranked third in the overall evaluation. Instructor Ayşe Bağlı, Head of the First and Emergency Aid Program, stated that such activities make significant contributions to the professional development of students, adding that the competitions enable students to integrate their theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

The SosyalFest Medi-Rally Event, organized by Karabük University in collaboration with Istanbul University, Üsküdar University, and Istanbul Nişantaşı University, was held at Istanbul University Beyazıt Campus.

Professional knowledge and skills were exhibited in four stages

In the competition participated by teams of students studying in First and Emergency Aid Programs of universities, students were evaluated in four different stages: Knowledge, Triage, Resuscitation, and Psychiatric Emergency.

Consisting of students from Üsküdar University VSOHS First and Emergency Aid Program, and accompanied by Instructor Keziban Turan and Instructor Mustafa Yıldız, the team successfully completed all stages of the competition. The team achieved significant success, especially by securing first place in the Psychiatric Emergency Stage. Üsküdar University students ranked third in the overall evaluation of the four stages.

Theoretical knowledge transforms into practical skills

Stating that such activities make significant contributions to the professional development of students, Instructor Ayşe Bağlı, Head of the First and Emergency Aid Program, stated that the competitions enable students to integrate their theoretical knowledge with practical skills and develop their professional awareness.

Achievement trophy was presented to the VSOHS Directorate

The success achieved by Üsküdar students was also appreciated by the academic staff of the Vocational School of Health Services.

Due to the trophy they won, the students were congratulated by Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Director of VSOHS, and the faculty members. 

The students in the competition team presented the trophy symbolizing their achievement to the VSOHS Directorate.
