Federation formation process nears completion…

The consultation meeting, held in the Senate Hall at the Main Campus of Üsküdar University, was attended by President of Üsküdar University, psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector’s Advisor Prof. İsmail Barış, as well as many association presidents and members.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: “There is a greater need than ever for a value-based system”
The opening speech of the meeting was delivered by President of Üsküdar University, psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan. Tarhan said: “There is a prophetic saying that states, ‘If you begin with good intention and sincere effort, I will complete the rest.’ We also set out with this understanding. Hopefully, we will be able to touch people’s lives. Work can be carried out without exaggerating what is done, without exposing those we indirectly come into contact with, while also increasing our own visibility in a healthy way. Matters are consulted upon and, if deemed appropriate, implemented. If we begin the federation process, meetings will be held at regular intervals. We need to generate new ideas. Because the whole world is currently experiencing a serious moral collapse. The bankruptcy process of Western civilization has already begun. There are structures that appear like great plane trees, magnificent on the outside but hollow within. The current situation resembles this. Many institutions, including the monarchy system in the United Kingdom, are part of this process. Gang formation is increasing, and in fact this is not a new situation. The signs were already there. However, this process may also lead to an awakening. Today, there is a greater need than ever for the value system we advocate.”

Prof. İsmail Barış: “We adopt a rights-based scientific approach”
Providing information about the purpose and scope of the meeting, Rector’s Advisor Prof. İsmail Barış stated: “Within the framework of the federation’s charter and in line with our objectives and principles, we aim to provide psychosocial support to children and young people who require protection, ensure the healthy continuation of their development, and deliver qualified services through a rights based and scientific approach.”

Strategic roadmap determined
Following this, the federation’s establishment process was evaluated. Discussions focused on institutional identity and representation planning.
During the continuation of the meeting, working commissions were formed according to the roles and responsibilities of the founding associations.
At the consultation meeting, where the first launch was also planned, the operational calendar, financial structure, and collaborations were discussed in detail.
The consultation meeting concluded with a group photograph after determining the strategic roadmap and receiving participants’ opinions.
