Üsküdar Üniversitesi Head of Philosophy Department Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir's book titled 'Environment, Human, and Our Responsibilities' met its readers with its 2nd edition. The book, published by Akıl Fikir Yayınları, addresses the environment and people's responsibilities towards the environment with a philosophical and ethical examination.

Penned by Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir and edited by Zeynep Tunç, the book had its 2nd edition.
The book covers topics related to the relationship between environment and ethics, environment and religion, environmental understanding in Ottoman society, and environmental awareness in Turkey.
Who is Prof. Dr. İbrahim Özdemir?
Prof. Dr. İbrahim ÖZDEMİR was born in Gaziantep in 1960.
He completed his undergraduate education at Ankara University Faculty of Divinity, and his master's and doctorate degrees at Middle East Technical University Philosophy Department.
In his academic career, which began at Ankara University in 1992, he became an Assistant Professor in 2000, an Associate Professor in 2004, and a Professor in 2008.
During his academic work, he served as a 'visiting faculty member' at world-renowned universities. He participated in scientific meetings in many countries, including universities in the USA, South Africa, Indonesia, Australia, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and South Korea.
His works on environmental issues have been translated into many languages.
Özdemir currently serves as the Head of the Philosophy Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi.
