Engineering education, a necessity for advancing in the information age

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci stated that engineering fields carry out studies in the design, development, production, and management of systems and devices that form the infrastructure of the information age, and said that engineering education is important all over the world. Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci emphasized that Üsküdar Üniversitesi provides significant opportunities for future engineers with its technological infrastructure, equipped laboratories, and distinguished academicians.

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, evaluated the importance of engineering education in our country and in the world.

Engineering field aims to advance in the information age

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci noted that students who have earned the right to receive university education as a reward for their efforts should be very careful and meticulous in their choices, and stated, “The design, development, production, management of systems and devices that form the infrastructure of the information age, and advancing in technology are among the leading engineering fields in our country and the world. Engineering education is equally important both globally and in our country.”

Quality engineering education is provided

Çerezci said that as the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, all opportunities are presented to students in the best possible way through modern educational tools, advanced laboratory infrastructure, and universal courses taught by internationally recognized academicians, to enable them to have happy and successful careers in these disciplines.

They can benefit from international opportunities with Erasmus

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci noted that they attach importance to equipping their students with skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration through the education standard they offer, and stated, “Our faculty offers various opportunities for course selection, and all faculty facilities are open to our students. Students can benefit from international opportunities with Erasmus. They can pursue a double major (ÇAP) or a minor.”

Our doors are open to young people with projects

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci emphasized that their doors are open to prospective students who want to develop themselves and seize career opportunities for the next 50 years, and added, “We attach importance to our students using knowledge with self-confidence to achieve innovation and driving force. They can join project groups with their professors. If they have projects, they can participate in competitions.”

A diploma valid everywhere in the world…

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci noted that there are 6 departments at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences that provide engineering education entirely in English, and said, “These are the departments of Computer (Eng), Software (Eng), Industrial (Eng), Chemical (Eng), Electrical-Electronics (Eng), and Bioengineering (Eng). Additionally, our faculty has a total of 9 departments, including Forensic Sciences (Tr), Molecular Biology and Genetics (Tr), and the Molecular Biology and Genetics department (Eng) which provides education entirely in English.”

Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci noted that students enrolled in these departments will have career opportunities for both today and the future, and said that the graduates' diplomas are valid all over the world.

Inviting future engineer candidates to the ongoing Preference and Promotion Days at Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Central Campus, Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci concluded his words as follows:

“Before making their choices, prospective students can visit our central campus and our faculty every day between 09:00 and 19:00. They can personally ask any questions they have to the relevant professors, get detailed information, and tour the laboratories. We are waiting for prospective students to train them to become sought-after professionals in our country and worldwide.”
