Specialist Psychologist Necmettin Gürsoy, who previously worked for many years at NPİSTANBUL Hastanesi, compiled the traumas experienced after the earthquake into a book. Gürsoy presented his book titled “Bize Her Şey Onu Hatırlatıyor” (Everything Reminds Us of It), consisting of interviews with earthquake victims, to Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, the Founding Rector of Üsküdar University. Gürsoy pointed out that people working and living in the earthquake region remember that moment every day and every instant, and for this purpose, a societal memory can be created with what has been experienced and shared. Emphasizing that while it is very difficult to remember and express the events experienced, recording them and being able to leave a note for the future is equally valuable, Gürsoy also mentioned that it would provide an emotional release, relief, and lightening.

Following the catastrophe of the century, the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake on February 6, which caused devastating consequences in 11 provinces, Specialist Psychologist Necmettin Gürsoy compiled his interviews with earthquake victims after the quake into a book.
In his book, where he penned down the experienced traumas, Gürsoy stated that they highly value the expression of emotions and thoughts and undertook this work for that purpose.

The title on the cover, “Her Şey Onu Hatırlatıyor” (Everything Reminds Us of It), is a song lyric. We always thought only lovers experienced this… But in this earthquake, we saw that we are experiencing the same things… Especially people working and living in the earthquake region remember that moment every day and every instant… For this purpose, we can create a societal memory with what we have experienced and shared. That is why we attach great importance to the expression of emotions and thoughts, and it is very valuable to us. Although it is very difficult for all of us to remember and express what we have witnessed and experienced, recording it and being able to leave a note for the future is an equally meaningful need and valuable… At the same time, it will also be an emotional discharge, relief, and lightening… We carried out this work for this purpose.”
