2nd-year students of the Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) Elderly Care Program visited the Prof. Dr. F. Kerim - Nilüfer Gökay Nursing Home within the scope of the “Summer Festival at the Nursing Home” event.
Dr. Melek Çaylak, Head of the VSHS Social Services Program, Lecturer Birgül Erbaş, Head of the Hair Care and Beauty Services Program, and many students attended the event.
During the visit, students had pleasant conversations with the nursing home residents and offered various treats. The music team provided entertaining moments for the participants with the songs they performed, while students and the elderly sang and danced together.
At the end of the event, a sapling was planted on behalf of each nursing home resident, and special sapling certificates were presented to them. The day concluded with a souvenir photo taken together.
