The first steps of a new project have been taken in cooperation with Üsküdar University and the Black Sea Civil Society Organizations Union (KASTOB). A stakeholder meeting was held with the Dilovası District Governorship and Dilovası Municipality for the project planned to be implemented under the title “First Education for Healthy Relationships and Lasting Marriages.” At the meeting, a significant example of cooperation was demonstrated by taking the first step towards establishing strong family structures. 

Üsküdar University and the Black Sea Civil Society Organizations Union (KASTOB) took the first step in the “Education for Healthy Relationships Lasting Marriages” social innovation model project. Within the scope of the project, a stakeholder meeting was organized with the Dilovası District Governorship and Dilovası Municipality.  

The stakeholder meeting, chaired by Dilovası District Governor Dr. Metin Kubilay, was attended by Dilovası Mayor Ramazan Ömeroğlu, Üsküdar University Project Development Director Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, KASTOB President Nevzat Duyar, KASTOB Vice President İshak Koçoğlu, Acting Presidents Yaşar Saka and Halil Kütük, Secretary General Yüksel Arslan, Kocaeli Associations Federation President Bahriye Gürpınar Geredeli, and NuReplay Company Founder Nur Beyza Göç.  

Strengthening the family institution is aimed

In order to strengthen the family institution, one of the most fundamental building blocks of society, the “First Education for Healthy Relationships Lasting Marriages” project, implemented in cooperation with Üsküdar University and the Black Sea Civil Society Organizations Union (KASTOB), has begun to be carried out with the contributions of the Kocaeli Associations Federation and the General Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior.  

Education mission prioritizing public health was addressed

At the meeting, the importance of the words of Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan; “21st century skill: Teamwork done with dedication and volunteering, in cooperation with NGOs, University, and Public,” and the education mission prioritizing public health were addressed.

In this context, attention was drawn to the positive impact of a healthy family structure on individuals' psychological well-being. One of the important activities within the scope of the project includes carefully prepared family counseling modules aimed at strengthening the foundations of family communication, solidifying the bonds between couples, and increasing the rate of lasting marriages in society. These modules will cover various topics such as healthy communication techniques, empathy development, problem-solving methods, and enhancing emotional resilience.

Creation of healthy relationship dynamics was planned 

At the meeting, various programs were planned to be implemented aimed at strengthening family relationships, enhancing communication skills, and establishing healthy relationship dynamics, with the goal of contributing to the welfare of society.

Throughout the meeting, detailed analyses were conducted to adapt project activities to the target audience, taking into account the demographic characteristics of Dilovası. In particular, the aim was to make the support provided to young couples sustainable, so they can start their marriage process prepared and establish healthy relationships.

Active role of local government prepares a strong ground for the project

At the meeting, where the Dilovası Municipality also expressed its support for the project, it was emphasized that a strong foundation for the project was being prepared with the active role and contributions of local governments. In the speeches regarding the project; it was stated that guidance and counseling services would also be provided to families within the social innovation model project, thereby equipping couples with the necessary tools to cope with challenges they may encounter before and during the marriage process.
