Within the framework of the “Education Cooperation Protocol” signed between Üsküdar University, Ümraniye District Governorship, and Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education, students from Şehit Erol Olçok Girls' Anatolian Imam Hatip High School and Zehra Asım Ülker Anatolian High School visited the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS). During the organized training program, students were introduced to the educational content, career opportunities, and basic tools and equipment used in the field, while drilling and riveting processes were demonstrated practically.

The training program held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus attracted great interest.
The workshop program was carried out under the leadership of Instructor Kübra Akkalay, Head of the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program.

Information on R&D studies was shared
During the event held at the Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Laboratory, students were given general information. While information about the educational content of the program, the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), career opportunities, and ongoing R&D studies was shared, basic tools and equipment used in the field were also introduced.
Drilling and riveting process demonstrated practically
In the practical section of the event, students participated in various activities aimed at professional skills. In this context, while drilling and riveting processes were demonstrated practically, participants also experienced the process of taking foot measurements on foam.
Through the event, which aimed to raise students' awareness of vocational fields, they gained the opportunity to acquire both theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the field of Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics.
