Üsküdar University Social Contribution Coordinator Assistant Professor Dr. Nebiye Yaşar participated with two papers at the International Trade and Economy Congress and Summit held in Rize. Yaşar provided academic contributions with her presentations addressing the role of green transformation in economic sustainability and the social status of women in Rize, drawing attention to environmental innovation, cultural sustainability, and social development issues.

Significant figures from academia, the public sector, and the business world, including President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, participated in the International Rize Trade and Economy Congress and Summit held at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Congress and Culture Center.

The importance of green transformation was addressed
In her first paper, titled “Green Transformation and Innovation in Sustainability: Dynamics of a New Economic Paradigm,” Yaşar discussed the strategic importance of green transformation in economic sustainability.
Assistant Professor Dr. Nebiye Yaşar evaluated the new opportunities created by environmental changes in economic systems, innovation-focused development models, and regional implementation examples from Turkey from a scientific perspective.

Women’s social roles were examined
In her second paper, titled “Women’s Social Roles, Cultural Codes, and Behavioral Tendencies in the Context of Rize,” she shared the results of a field study conducted on women’s social roles, cultural codes, and behavioral tendencies within Rize’s socio-cultural structure.
In her work, Yaşar addressed topics of regional identity, gender roles, and cultural sustainability with an interdisciplinary approach.

Science, economy, and culture met
Throughout the congress, sessions were held under headings such as “Green Transformation,” “Digital Economy,” and “Industry and Investment Opportunities.” The program aimed to introduce Turkey’s economic potential in the Black Sea region to the world, focusing on innovation and sustainable development.
