"We instinctually try to create balance in our designs"
Kaan Yurtbaşı, director of Minus99 Görsel Tasarım and guest of the event held within the scope of the university culture course, spoke about the importance of consistency in design. Yurtbaşı said: "Consistency in design is about ensuring elements look and behave the same way. We need to create designs using the idea of sustainability. Speaking of consistency, what we call consistency is actually about the placements, tones, and texts within a page being close to each other in terms of appearance and feel. It is out of the question to have different types on other pages, for example, making a button square on one page and wanting to make it round on another. Therefore, consistency is very important on every page or in every area, in anything, even in a brand. As designers, we instinctively try to create balance in our designs to make them visually appealing."
Yurtbaşı especially emphasized that contrast work in design should not be overlooked; "It is necessary not to overlook contrast in design. We need to do our contrast work in a target-oriented way, guiding users effectively."
