'Different Sexual Identity Orientations' Published as a Book...

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan was among the authors of the book titled “The Great Danger Faced by Today’s Youth: Different Sexual Identity Orientations,” published by ‘Kaknüs Psikoloji’. 

At the initiative of the World Children and Family Protection Platform (Dünya ÇAKOP), the work, consisting of articles written by eight Turkish scientists specialized in the field, stands as the first domestic study prepared on different sexual identity orientations.

In the study, which includes Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector-Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan among its authors, Sefa Saygılı, Sema Yılmaz, Mustafa Atak, Ahmet Akın, Beşir Eryarsoy, Mehmet Lütfi Arslan, and Mustafa Merter are also featured.

Prof. Dr. Tarhan Made Evaluations Under the Heading of Pathological Sexuality

In the chapter titled “Sexuality as Pathological Addiction,” written by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan in the work, he draws attention to important topics regarding pathological sexuality. Tarhan also makes determinations in light of psychological science; he also provides evaluations on whether sexual identities develop innately or acquisitively.

It Was Stated that the Book’s Purpose was the Increase in ‘Abnormal Sexual Orientations’

While it was stated that the purpose of writing the book was the increase in abnormal sexual orientations; “In recent times, similar to the West and America, it is observed that young people in our country are also encouraged towards abnormal sexual orientations. The number of publications and shares that normalize or even promote homosexuality has increased in the virtual world, on various television platforms, and in print and visual media. Youth is being pressured from all sides. We are facing a big game on a global scale. The architects of this game, in their effort to corrupt the institution of family worldwide, are causing a moral collapse for humanity.” These statements were used.
