Different cultures united at the ‘International Day’ event

An “International Day” event was organized by the Health, Culture, and Sports Department of Üsküdar University. The event featured colorful scenes as students showcased the richness and diversity of their cultures from different regions of the world.

The event took place in the garden of Üsküdar University’s South Campus and was attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Deniz Ülke Kaynak, who visited the students’ booths.

Various cultures introduced their countries

International students from many countries including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Nigeria, Syria, Egypt, India, and Yemen took part in the event.

The students introduced traditional dishes, drinks, and handicrafts from their home countries. The event created an opportunity for cultural exchange and featured vibrant and colorful moments.

 

Fun-filled moments

Students enjoyed fun moments accompanied by songs and traditional dances unique to their cultures.

 

Traditional dishes were served

At the event, students were offered Garrab, a traditional beverage.

At the Turkish culture booth, traditional Turkish delicacies such as lahmacun, çiğ köfte, içli köfte, and lokum (Turkish delight) were served to attendees.
