The “Design with Artificial Intelligence” exhibition by the Visual Communication Design Department of Üsküdar University Faculty of Communication was held as part of the GİT10 Basic Design course final project for the 2023 spring semester. Visual Communication Design students presented their works, prepared under the supervision of Head of Department Prof. Dr. And Algül, to visitors in the South Campus C-D Block Lobby area.
Within the scope of the project, Visual Communication Design students used artificial intelligence to transform their own photos into avatars in futuristic, vintage, and heroic styles, based on a specific special day concept, and created poster designs for a product or service.
Another leg of the project involved a special day concept study.
Addressing a product or service within the framework of a special day concept aims to raise awareness regarding the social responsibility aspect of the product or service for which a poster design is created.
The starting point of the project was the departmental event titled “Artificial Intelligence and Design” held with Salvo Agency Founder and Creative Director Okan Saykun, and the external stakeholder meeting held with Dijifabrik Agency presidents Yusuf Dahi and Ahmet Beliktay.
The project was carried out to prepare future designers for the industry by having students apply how design with artificial intelligence, a particularly current topic in recent days within the scope of developing technology, can be used in the field, creating original projects according to current trends.
Within the scope of the project, various artificial intelligence environments were used for original visual production, and designs were created using Photoshop to produce poster works for a product or service.
The “Design with Artificial Intelligence” exhibition can be visited between October 23-27.
