Delegation from Illinois State University visited ÜSESKOM

The delegation from the Department of Speech and Language Pathology at Illinois State University in the United States visited Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Speech and Language Therapy. The group consisting of more than 30 students, 4 professors and 2 organizers was informed. Within the scope of the visit, Üsküdar University Language and Speech Therapy Research and Application Center (ÜSESKOM) was visited and information was given about the studies carried out in the center.

The delegation was led by Prof. Ahmet Konrot, Head of the Department of Language and Speech Therapy, and Assoc. Prof. Ayşe Aydın, Asst. Prof. Maral Yeşilyurt, Asst. Prof. Özlem Oğuz, Asst. Prof. Seçil Aydın Oral, RA Dr. Göksu Yılmaz, Instructor Ayşe Buse Saraç, RA Ceren Söğüt and volunteer students from the Department of Speech and Language Therapy were hosted.

Within the scope of the visit, Prof. Ahmet Konrot made a comprehensive speech about the development of the department and the profession in Türkiye and the activities of Üsküdar University.

In the continuation of the program, Üsküdar University Speech and Language Therapy Research and Application Center (ÜSESKOM), which is the laboratory affiliated to the Department of Language and Speech Therapy, was visited and information was given about the studies carried out in the center.

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions about Speech and Language Therapy education and practices in Türkiye.

The visit, which strengthened scientific sharing and cooperation, ended with a photo shoot.
