Cooperation Protocol Signed with Kazakhstan Humanitarian and Technical Academy

Üsküdar University has added a new one to its cooperation protocols with universities from Turkic Republics. A cooperation protocol was signed with Kazakhstan Humanitarian and Technical Academy. The protocol, signed between Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör and Kazakhstan Humanitarian and Technical Academy's Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and International Relations Assoc. Dr. Baurjan Karimov, encompasses cooperation opportunities in education and science.

The protocol signing ceremony, held at the Üsküdar University Main Campus Senate Hall, was attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, as well as Üsküdar University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, Sociology Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı, and Üsküdar University International Registration and Communication Manager Dilbar Aliyeva.

Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: “We provide all kinds of support for the development of relations with sister Turkic Republics”

Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör emphasized the importance of the protocol in her opening speech at the signing ceremony. Güngör said: “Cooperation between our universities is very important. Especially in the scientific field, we provide all kinds of support, both as our country and as our university, for the development of mutual relations with sister Turkic Republics. We can carry out joint projects and scientific activities in many areas. I would like to thank our faculty members who contributed to the preparation of the protocol.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Baurjan Karimov: “Signing this protocol holds a special value for us”

Kazakhstan Humanitarian and Technical Academy's Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and International Relations Assoc. Dr. Baurjan Karimov emphasized that their university, founded in 1991, is located in the city of Kokshetau, near the capital Astana, and that within the framework of their university-business world cooperation, it provides very important contributions to the region, especially in the field of economy. Assoc. Dr. Karimov stated: “After seeing the extensive opportunities of Üsküdar University, signing this protocol holds a special value for us. Cooperation that we will carry out in many areas, such as student and faculty exchange, by utilizing Üsküdar University's experience, is very important for us.”

Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk: “Student, academic, and staff will pave the way for joint projects”

Üsküdar University Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk provided extensive information about the R&D activities and innovative projects carried out by Üsküdar University in many areas. He expressed his hope that the cooperation protocols signed with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and other sister Turkic Republics will pave the way for joint projects in many areas, such as student and academic staff exchange.


Üsküdar University Sociology Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Ebulfez Süleymanlı stated that since its establishment, Üsküdar University, with the encouragement and support of its Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, has attached importance to cooperation with universities of Central Asian Turkic Republics, and expressed that the signed protocol will further enrich the work to be carried out in academic fields between the two universities.

Dilda Karimova, a PhD student in the Sociology department at Kazakhstan Eurasian University, expressed her satisfaction at being an intern at Üsküdar University and stated that benefiting from the academic opportunities at the university made significant contributions to her scientific studies.

Following the conclusion of the speeches, Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör and Kazakhstan Humanitarian and Technical Academy's Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and International Relations Assoc. Dr. Baurjan Karimov signed the cooperation protocol.

With the signed cooperation protocol, the aim is for the two universities to mutually benefit from laboratory facilities in joint research, seminars, conferences, and other scientific activities, as well as in international projects. Furthermore, cooperation will be carried out on short- or long-term faculty and student exchanges to enable them to conduct joint projects and enhance their knowledge and experience.
