Cooperation protocol signed between Üsküdar University and Wonkwang University

Üsküdar University has added another one to its international academic collaborations. Hosted by the International Relations Department Erasmus+ Coordinatorship, a delegation from Wonkwang University, one of South Korea’s well-established higher education institutions, visited Üsküdar University. Within the scope of the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between the two universities, taking important steps towards student and academic exchange programs and joint research projects. The signed protocol is also of great importance for strengthening academic and cultural ties.

The visit, held in the Senate Hall of Üsküdar University's Main Campus, was attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, the Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinatorship team, and the delegation from Wonkwang University. 

Within the scope of the visit, an important step was taken to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör said; “Our university continues to develop strong collaborations with universities worldwide within the scope of our internationalization vision. This protocol we signed with Wonkwang University will offer new opportunities for our students and academics. By strengthening the ties between the two universities through exchange programs and joint research projects, we aim for more effective academic cooperation on a global scale.”

Cooperation protocol signed between two universities

At the ceremony, a cooperation protocol was signed between Üsküdar University and Wonkwang University. Views were exchanged on future joint projects, student and staff exchange programs, collaborative research, and Erasmus+ mobilities. 

Additionally, a presentation about Üsküdar University was given, and detailed information was shared.

Üsküdar University Dental Hospital visited

Subsequently, Üsküdar University Dental Hospital was visited. Guests toured the diagnostic and treatment units equipped with modern technology, as well as advanced simulation and research laboratories, and were introduced to the hospital’s structure that integrates educational and healthcare services. The contributions of the hospital, where theoretical and practical training are conducted together, to the professional development of students were emphasized.

Prof. Dr. Ziver Ergün Yücel was also visited in his office

Within the scope of the program, the South Korean delegation also visited Prof. Dr. Ziver Ergün Yücel, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, in his office. Prof. Dr. Yücel provided information about the faculty and shared details regarding students’ practical training processes. The delegation members asked questions about topics of interest, exchanged information, and expressed their satisfaction with the visit.

The visit serves as an important starting point for strengthening academic and cultural bridges between the two institutions.
