In cooperation with Üsküdar Üniversitesi, Ternopil State Pedagogical University, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, an international scientific conference titled “Current Problems of History Education in the Research of Young Academics” was held. At the online conference, students from Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences made their presentations. Additionally, a cooperation agreement was signed between Üsküdar Üniversitesi and Ternopil State Pedagogical University. Within the scope of this cooperation, practical courses are planned to be held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi in August.

Cooperation agreement signed with Ternopil State Pedagogical University

Dr. Uygar Aydemir, Head of the History Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç, a board member of Üsküdar Üniversitesi RİNAP, participated in the online conference.

The conference, which started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Bohdan Buyak, Rector of Ternopil State Pedagogical University, also featured opening speeches by Dr. Uygar Aydemir and Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç.



Üsküdar Students' Presentations Drew Attention…
More than 40 young academics from different countries presented their research, addressing current issues in history education. Among the notable presentations under the title “Digital Approaches in Ottoman Era Studies,” the presentation by Aleyna Şamlı, a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, titled “Digitization of Evliya Çelebi's Seyahatname,” drew significant attention.
Presentations by Hayrun Nisa Cantürk and Fatma Betül İşler, students from the History Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, also received great acclaim. Hayrun Nisa Cantürk presented on “Digitization of the 19th Century Ottoman Istanbul Tekke Map,” while Fatma Betül İşler earned appreciation from participants with her presentation on “Mapping Istanbul Through the Eyes of Eremyan and Inciciyan.”

The students’ presentations were translated into Russian by Prof. Dr. İlham Miraç, a board member of Üsküdar Üniversitesi RİNAP.
Cooperation Agreement Also Signed
With the cooperation agreement signed between Üsküdar Üniversitesi and Ternopil State Pedagogical University, online courses on Islamic Theology and Culture will continue to be provided to Bachelor’s and Master’s students of the Ternopil National University History Department. Furthermore, practical courses are also planned to be held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi in August.
The cooperation provides an important platform in the fields of scientific events and history education, enabling young academics to share their research and exchange knowledge.
