Neslihan Başar: “Behind a successful advertising campaign, there are good Briefs”
Neslihan Başar, GriCreative Agency Design Team Leader, who participated in the online event, provided information about social media content production processes. Başar stated: “We will present a presentation that reflects our daily world rather than a strictly educational one. We want to explain what we experience in real life, in agency life. Firstly, since we are talking about social media content production processes, we wanted to start from the very beginning, asking what content is. Social media content refers to content designed in accordance with brands' strategies and target audiences and prepared to suit these channels. In the content production process, our primary starting point is the brief, because we first need a brief to produce content. We obtain the brief from the brand, i.e., the client, because this is the most important part of the process during which we carry out the work. Before starting the work, it is essential that we mutually understand why we are doing this, what our goal is, what the brand's expectations are, and what the demands are. It is the document that brings the agency and the client together on common ground. We can say that a brief is essentially a written summary of the projects we want to implement.”
Zeynep Keleş: “It is very important for us that the design side of the work is clarified”
Zeynep Keleş, GriCreative Agency Social Media Team Leader, provided information to the participating students after showing promotional films and various teasers. Keleş stated: “We have actually moved to the 'kitchen' part of the work and are now taking the visuals live. We are working on their designs and some animation processes. That is, we wrote, drew, and received approval from the client. Before transforming storyboard scenes into animation, we provide the client with a document where we can explain each scene frame by frame in the simplest way, allowing them to visualize it. As an agency principle, we present our work to our clients with very clearly depicted scenes. Here, we have a storyboard that clearly shows the client what we used, how we used it, where the texts, artists, and everything else are. It is very important for us that the design side of the work is clarified because our work can involve many revisions before the animation process. During the animation process, these revisions make the path even steeper for us. Therefore, during this storyboard process, we aim to minimize revisions, meet with the client on common ground, and then proceed with the animation process.”
Following the conclusion of the presentations, the event ended with participants' questions being answered.
