Expert Names Provided Information for Preschool Educators

The program, in which Specialist Clinical Psychologist Zeynep Külahlı and Lecturer Psychologist Dr. Çisem Uzun from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology, gave training, attracted great interest.

Within the scope of the training, various topics were discussed for preschool teachers and educators.

Specialist Clinical Psychologist Zeynep Külahlı: “You must always be open to communication”

Specialist Clinical Psychologist Zeynep Külahlı emphasized that educators should always be open to communication. Külahlı said; “We need to cooperate with many people. One of them is the family. This child was born into a family. Some parents work very hard, and children see their caregivers and grandmothers more than their parents. In this case, we need to communicate with them. You can cooperate with whoever is most responsible for the child. Here, you must always be open to communication. In times of crisis, we must learn to manage the situation by remaining calm.”

Psychologist Dr. Çisem Uzun: “The higher a child's self-efficacy, the higher their self-confidence will be”

Lecturer Psychologist Dr. Çisem Uzun from Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology, drew attention to the importance of self-efficacy in children. Uzun said; “The most basic drive is hunger; if you're hungry, you eat. Thirst; if you're thirsty, you drink water, and other impulsive situations ensure our survival and happiness. Our children experience this situation too; they want to be happy. The higher a child's self-efficacy, the higher their self-confidence will be. If there is no self-efficacy, we need to strive to create it.”

Application of Theoretical Knowledge in Practice Discussed

The training, which discussed how theoretical knowledge can be applied in practice, aimed to contribute to the professional development of preschool teachers.
The organized Preschool Educator Training program concluded with a certificate presentation after a group photo session.
