Through the ‘Change Starts with Me’ Project, carried out in partnership with Üsküdar Üniversitesi, Üsküdar District Governorship, and Üsküdar District Directorate of National Education, 1453 high school students in 8 project implementation schools located in Üsküdar received ‘Social Media Literacy’ training for 6 months. Upon the completion of the project, which saw the announcement of research results measuring social media addiction across various variables, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Üsküdar District Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek for his support.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin Tutgun Ünal, coordinator of the ‘Change Starts with Me’ Project, which aims for social media awareness, visited Üsküdar District Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek in his office. Ünal presented Demiryürek with a plaque for his contributions to the project.
Evaluating the results of the social media awareness research conducted with 1453 high school students within the scope of the project, Ünal stated: “The results will be guiding in the sustainability of the ‘Change Starts with Me’ project.”
‘Social Media Literacy’ Training Provided for 6 Months
Through the Change Starts with Me Project, 1453 high school students in 8 project implementation schools in Üsküdar received Social Media Literacy training for 6 months between December 22, 2021, and June 15, 2022.
The team of the 'Change Starts with Me Social Media Awareness' Project, carried out under the chairmanship of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, and coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin Tutgun Ünal, included Üsküdar Üniversitesi Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Yektaş, Ophthalmology Specialist Dr. Lecturer İbrahim Şahbaz, Üsküdar District National Education Branch Manager Fehmi Gür, Betül Belkıs Okutan from Üsküdar District National Education Directorate, and Üsküdar District Governorship Project Specialist Hüseyin Karaman.
The project closing meeting was held recently in the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Senate Hall with the participation of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Üsküdar District National Education Director Sinan Aydın.
