Visit from the Rector of Central Asian Medical University to Üsküdar

Nurillo Mamasadikov, Rector of Uzbekistan Central Asian Medical University, and his accompanying delegation visited Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör. Within the scope of the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between Üsküdar University and Central Asian Medical University. Projects that can be carried out between the universities were discussed with the signed protocol. Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized that Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey are brotherly countries, drawing attention to the phrase 'one nation, many states'.

Üsküdar University is carrying out studies on developing cooperation in the field of medicine among Turkic states and preparing the ground for new projects in medical education and training.

In this context, in cooperation with Samarkand University of the Republic of Uzbekistan and with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), it organized the II. INTERNATIONAL EURASIAN MEDICAL CONGRESS on April 4-7, 2025. Üsküdar University acted as the executor of the TİKA project on behalf of researchers and institutions participating from Turkey in the Congress, and Üsküdar University Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan co-chaired the Congress Organizing Committee with Samarkand University Rector Prof. Dr. J. Rızayev.

As a result of the collaborations established at the widely attended TİKA-supported congress, where Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak was a member of the Organizing Committee, Nurillo Mamasadikov, Rector of Uzbekistan Central Asian Medical University, and his accompanying delegation visited Üsküdar University and signed a cooperation protocol between the two universities.

The visit was attended by Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hikmet Koçak, Head of International Relations Department Peyman Jaferi, Central Asian Medical University Rector Nurillo Mamasadikov, and his accompanying delegation.

The delegation first visited Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan in his office.

Cooperation Protocol Signed

Then, the delegation moved to the Senate Hall where the cooperation protocol was signed.

First, promotional films of both universities were watched.

Üsküdar University Founding Rector Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated that the signed cooperation would be beneficial for both universities. Tarhan emphasized that Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey are brotherly countries, using the phrase 'one nation, many states'.

Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör stated that the cooperation protocol would further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Central Asian Medical University Rector Nurillo Mamasadikov also drew attention to the importance of the work to be done between the two universities, stating that student exchange programs would strengthen these ties.

Within the scope of the visit, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan presented a plaque to Nurillo Mamasadikov. The visit concluded with a group photo.
