The “Anesthesia Day” event was organized by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health Services Vocational School (SHMYO) Anesthesia Program and Anesthesia Club. Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health Services Vocational School (SHMYO) Anesthesia Program Head, Lecturer Merve Aydın Karabaş, who made the opening speech of the event, spoke about the support they provide to students.
The event took place at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Çarşı Campus Emir Nebi Conference Hall.
Galata Üniversitesi Lecturer Ahmet Emre Azaklı, Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists Association (ATTD) President Yasin Burak Özer, and ATTD Vice President Enes Malik Doruk attended the event as guests.

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Health Services Vocational School (SHMYO) Anesthesia Program Head, Lecturer Merve Aydın Karabaş, delivered the opening speech of the event.
Karabaş said: “Your profession is not just a specialization, but one of the most meaningful ways to serve humanity. Each of your efforts contributes to the health and happiness of society, beyond just touching a life. As your instructors, we often talk about empathy in our lessons. I wish you would never forget these words: while the patient on the operating table is just a case for you, for that patient, the surgery will be a unique event. We want you to know that just as we are by your side on your journey until graduation, we will always be your supporters afterwards. Of course, I am confident that you will work with the sense of responsibility for this profession, develop yourselves, and graduate.”
The career journey of anesthesia technicians was discussed
Galata Üniversitesi Lecturer Ahmet Emre Azaklı, who was a guest at the seminar, delivered his presentation titled “The Career Journey of Anesthesia Technician.”
Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists Association (ATTD) President Yasin Burak Özer shared his presentation with the participants, covering the introduction of the association and the rights and responsibilities of the anesthesia profession.
Students' questions were answered
Anesthesia Program Head, Lecturer Merve Aydın Karabaş, Anesthesia Program Lecturer Abdurrahman Şengül, and ATTD Vice President Enes Malik Doruk held an interview. During the interview, students' curious questions were answered.
The event concluded with a group photo session after the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the participants.
