Candidate Meetings Attract High Interest

Üsküdar Üniversitesi academics met with candidates this week covering 3 remarkable topics as part of candidate meetings. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, Asst. Prof. Dr. Cihan Taştan, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Cihan Becan came together with students under the headings of Metaverse Ecosystem, CRISPR and Genetic Engineering, and Advertising, answering candidates' questions.

Üsküdar Üniversitesi candidate meetings continue. In this context, Üsküdar Üniversitesi faculty members met with prospective students preparing for the exam.

Within the scope of the 6th Traditional University and Career Promotion Days organized by the Kağıthane District Directorate of National Education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, Head of the Software Engineering Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, held a seminar titled “Metaverse Ecosystem” at the Presidential Ottoman Archives. Ergüzel informed the students by addressing the current state of digitalization and the virtual world, while also emphasizing potential risks.

Students' interest in Ergüzel was remarkable.

Another topic that attracted students' attention was “CRISPR and Genetic Engineering”. Asst. Prof. Dr. Cihan Taştan from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences met with students from İTÜ ETA Foundation Bostancı Doğa College. Taştan explained that it is possible to produce solutions for many chronic and fatal diseases such as MS, cancer, and Alzheimer's using the CRISPR technique, and that despite being a new technique, it is increasingly being used.

Another meeting was held with Nazmi Arıkan Science High School students during the career days at Bağlarbaşı Culture Center. Asst. Prof. Dr. Cihan Becan from the Department of Advertising at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication shared information with candidates regarding the field of Advertising and its education. Becan also answered students' questions.
