Academicians and students from Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, Occupational Health and Safety Department participated in the 9th technical trip to BOTAŞ LNG Operations Directorate, held as part of the 'Occupational Health and Safety Week Events'. During the two-day technical trip, students had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge. Presentations were also held within the scope of the trip.
The technical trip held in Tekirdağ Marmaraereğlisi was attended by Head of Üsküdar University's Occupational Health and Safety Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Rüştü Uçan, Assistant Professor Dr. Hacer Kayhan, Lecturer Mustafa Cüneyt Gezen, and companies operating in the OHS field such as Drager Safety, Nümeko, Ziel Teknoloji, as well as nearby facilities like EÜAŞ and Bütan Gaz.

BOTAŞ LNG Facility Personnel and Training Manager Erdem Danyeli provided information about BOTAŞ's duties, powers and responsibilities, the operations carried out at the facility, and the facility's work in Turkey and worldwide.
Students were also informed by Class A Occupational Safety Specialist Salih Uzun, who works full-time at the facility, about the risks encountered on site, the regulatory-preventive activities implemented in relation to them, personnel training, safe work, and the prevention of occupational accidents. At the same time, students had the opportunity to experience their theoretical knowledge practically on-site by touring the facility accompanied by an occupational safety specialist.

Within the scope of the organized trip, in addition to the presentations by Head of Occupational Health and Safety Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Rüştü Uçan, Assistant Professor Dr. Hacer Kayhan, and Lecturer Mustafa Cüneyt Gezen, Üsküdar University Institute of Health Sciences Occupational Health and Safety Doctoral program students Dr. Zuhal Yazıcı Gökbulut and Serap Duman also gave presentations.
Subsequently, Mert Akpınar, Training and Application Manager from Drager Safety, and Emre Cam, Founding Partner, Sales and Dealer Manager from Ziel Teknoloji, also gave their presentations.
