Bioengineering students familiarized themselves with the chemical industry on-site

A technical trip was organized under the coordination of the Üsküdar University Career Center Department. During the trip, academicians and students from Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Bioengineering Department examined Bileşim Kimya's production facilities and laboratories on-site and met with industry representatives. Many topics were discussed during the visit, from internship opportunities to career planning, and from university-industry collaboration to joint projects. 

A technical trip and sector collaboration meeting was held at Bileşim Kimya, coordinated by the Üsküdar University Career Center Department Sector Collaborations, with the participation of academicians and students from the Bioengineering Department.

The visit, organized under the coordination of Sector Collaborations Assistant Manager Semra Gül, was attended by Bioengineering Program faculty members Asst. Prof. Atakan Meran and Asst. Prof. Handan Emişoğlu Külahlı, along with bioengineering students. 

Students observed production processes on-site

Within the scope of the technical trip, students had the opportunity to closely examine Bileşim Kimya's production areas and laboratories. Throughout the trip, comprehensive information was shared about the roles bioengineering graduates can undertake in the chemical industry, with particular detail given to the functioning of R&D, production, and quality departments, and the interdisciplinary work structure.

Students also gained information about the roles bioengineers can undertake in these processes and had the opportunity to observe the industry's operations on-site.

The importance of university-industry collaboration was emphasized

In the sector meeting held within the scope of the program, Bileşim Kimya Board Member Ruhi Aray Arsu shared the company's founding story, corporate vision, sustainable growth approach, and value-oriented management philosophy with the students.

Arsu pointed out that the transformation in the chemical industry is possible with qualified human resources and emphasized the importance of university-industry collaborations for the career development of young people.

Career planning and internship opportunities were discussed

During the visit, Human Resources Manager Hasan Pektaş met with students and provided information about recruitment processes, industry competency expectations, career planning, and internship opportunities.

In the interactive session, students had the opportunity to directly learn about the business world's expectations by asking questions to industry representatives.

Joint projects and branded courses came to the agenda

During the meeting, long-term cooperation topics planned to be implemented between Üsküdar University Career Center and Bileşim Kimya were also evaluated.

During the discussions, a consensus was reached on implementing internship programs to support students' professional development, branded course contents that will bring industry experience into educational processes, joint projects and competitions, and different applications supporting career development.
