The Independent Life Association (BAYDER) visited Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Psychiatrist and Founding Rector of Üsküdar University, in his office. During the visit, discussions were held about the ongoing work and projects in the field of combating addiction.
Attending the visit were BAYDER Chairman of the Board Yusuf Ziya Korkmaz, General Coordinator Regaip Bostan, Board Member Harun Altun, BAYDER Youth Board Chairman Ali İhsan Korkmaz, Youth Board Member Fatih Arıcan, and Sadık Paksoy, Manager of Üsküdar University's Health, Culture and Sports Department.

During the meeting, the work carried out by BAYDER and the Zincirsiz Magazine team in the field of combating addiction was conveyed to Prof. Dr. Tarhan. During the visit, where short-term and long-term projects were discussed, Zincirsiz Magazine, which includes an article by Prof. Dr. Tarhan, was presented.
Üsküdar's addiction studies highlighted
Prof. Dr. Tarhan shared information about the academic studies and projects carried out by Üsküdar University regarding addiction, while BAYDER officials stated that they have established Turkey's largest rehabilitation network with 13 centers in 8 cities.

Zincirsiz Magazine, an important resource in addiction combat efforts, stated that it aims to provide both addicted individuals and their families with accurate and reliable information.
Prepared as a preventive publication, the magazine draws attention to the social dimension of addiction. The magazine, which also features an article by Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, aims to raise awareness in this field.
New club to be established
At the end of the visit, it was also stated that a student club related to addiction would be established within Üsküdar University.
