Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine hosted guest medical students from Azerbaijan in its summer internship program, within the scope of international academic collaborations. The program, carried out within the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, provided opportunities for practical training in many areas, from operating room practices to perioperative patient management. Undergoing a broad training process, from clinical observation to operating room applications, the students not only gained professional experience but also became a part of an international academic sharing environment.

Azerbaijani medical students completed their summer internship at Üsküdar University

Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine added a new one to its academic activities carried out in line with its internationalization vision.

Four guest medical students from Azerbaijan participated in the summer internship program organized by the Faculty of Medicine's Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation between July 20-31, 2026.

Theoretical knowledge reinforced with clinical practices
During the two-week program, students actively participated in operating room practices, anesthesia practice, patient safety, perioperative patient management, and clinical observation processes.
In the trainings conducted under the guidance of experienced faculty members in their field, students had the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge with clinical practices, and also gained experience in patient safety and teamwork, which are important components of modern medical education.



Contributed to international academic collaborations
The summer internship program not only supported the sharing of professional knowledge and experience of medical students from different countries but also contributed to the strengthening of cultural interaction.
Thanks to the program aiming to develop international academic collaborations, students had the opportunity to closely examine different healthcare system practices and receive education in a multicultural academic environment.

Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine continues to share qualified medical education globally with its practices supporting international student mobility, while participation certificates were presented to Azerbaijani guest students who successfully completed their summer internship.
