"Atölye Üsküdar" Webinar Seminars Have Begun

Üsküdar Üniversitesi's "Atölye Üsküdar" Webinar seminars, offered to young entrepreneurs by Üsküdar Municipality with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and Istanbul Development Agency, have begun. Successful entrepreneurs, academics, and business people supported by "Atölye Üsküdar" will be guests of the webinar seminars held under the moderation of Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Director of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Young Brains Academy.

The first guest of the Webinar Seminar was Yusuf Burak Mudu, a successful young entrepreneur who produces six innovative medical devices. Mudu, who received product order offers from national and international companies for his product with R&D and Innovation content, established a workplace consisting of R&D, innovation, production, and assembly lines. In his current workplace, which employs 10 people, he produces domestic and national products with his innovative product for the development of our country.

"The Entrepreneurship and Project Culture course broadened my horizons."

Yusuf Burak Mudu talked about his experiences in entrepreneurship, his developed business idea, and product. Mudu said; "The Entrepreneurship and Project Culture course I took two years ago broadened my horizons and helped me discover new things. I thought about how I could add value to my country. As a result, I started working by focusing on the medical sector. My reason for choosing this sector was due to its breadth and the profitability of the market. Then I researched which product could be profitable in this market. My research showed that medical gas outlets are the fastest money-making product in this sector. I saw that billions of dollars are earned with these products worldwide, and I started my work on this path." He then described the difficulties he encountered on his entrepreneurial journey and expressed the importance of "Atölye Üsküdar" support for young entrepreneurs.

"Atölye Üsküdar adds value to the entrepreneurship ecosystem."

Dr. Nebiye Yaşar stated; "The Atölye Üsküdar Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, open to every idea and every sector, appeals to every entrepreneur, especially university students, academics, and professionals. 'Atölye Üsküdar', provided to young entrepreneurs by Üsküdar Municipality, adds value to the entrepreneurship ecosystem with technological equipment, online entrepreneurship training programs, and support in many areas, from software to robotic coding, from design to production." With these words, she expressed the value of this center for the products young entrepreneurs will produce on their entrepreneurial journey and added, "Successful ventures return to our country as qualified employment, production, and exports. We have supported the establishment of Atölye Üsküdar to transform original ideas into high value-added products and services. I sincerely believe that 'Atölye Üsküdar', which will bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students under one roof, will also contribute to strengthening our entrepreneurial culture."

Üsküdar Mayor Hilmi Türkmen, known for his work with children and youth, stated that with the Atölye Üsküdar Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, which he presented to the service of Istanbul residents to raise entrepreneurial awareness, they have made the biggest investment in the future, and requested all aspiring entrepreneurs to attend these seminars and benefit from this center.

In the Atölye Üsküdar Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, located in the Üsküdar Municipality Service Building, on a 700 square meter area, there are training kits and all kinds of workshop equipment, from laser CNC to milling machines, from 3D printers to virtual reality and augmented reality systems, from humanoid robots to workstations, robotic coding, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things.

"Atölye Üsküdar," implemented as an ecosystem by Üsküdar Municipality with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency to disseminate R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship culture to all segments of society and to realize research, innovation awareness, and technology and science culture at the application level, will generate new projects and provide new gains for our country with its capacity to host hundreds of young entrepreneurs under the theme of sustainable development goals.
