Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı: “Our effort is for our students to be inspired and become better”
Prof. Dr. Emre Tandırlı: “This painting, which I created on wood while at university in 1997, underwent restoration in 2019. Now, its opening is being held at our school on the occasion of Teachers' Day to be exhibited. The fresco, created by Raffaello Sanzio between 1509 and 1511, naturally showcases many scientists and philosophers within the layers of the historical process. This painting, emphasizing the importance of ancient philosophers who guided contemporary science, is an effort to inspire our youth and students to look at it and become better. Thanks to the painting by Raffaello; on the occasion of the opening of the 'School of Athens Corner,' which houses figures who are the teachers of our teachers, like Plato and Aristotle, we celebrate Teachers' Day,” he said.
