The books “Asymmetric Warfare / Political Psychology” and “Psychological Warfare”, authored by Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Founding Rector of Üsküdar Üniversitesi, have been made available online to book lovers. Both books, published by Timaş Yayın Grubu, can be accessed from virtual book sales points and bookstores.

“Asymmetric Warfare/Political Psychology”, a review-research type book, made its first edition in May 2010. The following lines were included in the back cover text of the book:

“On page 93 of the book, looking from today, there was quite an interesting prediction: “Society now knows the political agendas of coup plotters. If there were a coup attempt, it would not be an exaggeration to say that thousands of cars would block traffic in front of military units. Because society has tasted freedom and humanity.””

Indeed, during the July 15 coup attempt, which took place 6 years after the book's publication, civilians poured into the streets, some piling their cars in front of military units. For the first time in world history, a populace had prevented a coup attempt.

“Asymmetric Warfare is the art of winning without fighting,” says Nevzat Tarhan, reflecting this reality to us readers with detailed information and deep analyses. Because the information, predictions, and analyses in the book are vitally important, Nevzat Tarhan Asymmetric Warfare book revisited, expanded, and updated.”
