Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Department of Computer Engineering Lecturer Asst. Prof. Burcu Gürbüz was the keynote speaker at the 5th International Conference on Operational Research (InteriOR 2019) in North Sumatra, Indonesia.
Asst. Prof. Burcu Gürbüz was the keynote speaker at the conference held at the Grand Mercure Medan Angkasa Hotel in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia on 17-24 August. She was a speaker at the event “International Conference of Technology and Science” and "International Public Lecture: The Role of Operation Research for Millenials in the Industrial Revolution 4.0" that was held at STMIK Pelita Nasantara University.
Gürbüz closed the program with answering the questions by UINSU University Department of Mathematics students.
“I am honored to represent my country and our university”
Gürbüz expressed her opinions after the program and stated the following:
“During my visit, the University of UINSU held a very impressive opening ceremony on my behalf. We had a chance to chat with the distinguished University President Prof. KH. Saidurrahman and we have expressed our wish to start studies on obtaining bilateral agreements between our universities. I am honored to be a female mathematician representing our university and country in this important international scientific visit.”
