Üsküdar University continues to strengthen its collaborations with Europe's well-established educational institutions within the scope of its internationalization vision. Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek, Deputy Director of the Vocational School of Health Services and Head of the Radiotherapy Program, who visited Pardubice University in the Czech Republic within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA131 Staff Mobility program, took significant steps toward cooperation by establishing an academic and cultural bridge between the two institutions.

The visit to Pardubice University, with its rich content, further strengthened the ties between the two institutions.

Academic infrastructure and modern education approaches were examined

On the first day of the visit, the university's main campus was examined, accompanied by Dr. Kateřina Haráčková. On the campus, which stands out with its modern infrastructure and extensive academic facilities, on-site observations about campus life were made. Özdek, who met with Erasmus Coordinator Mgr. Drahomíra Ciberová, evaluated Erasmus+ partnership opportunities and future projects. Additionally, Özdek participated in a 'burnout syndrome' workshop led by Mgr. Iryna Matějková, gaining critical perspectives on maintaining professional well-being in the health and academic world.

Özdek delivered a seminar on 'Radiation Safety and Protection'

On the second day of the program, the laboratories and classrooms of the Faculty of Health Sciences, equipped with advanced technology, were visited, and detailed information about education models was obtained. Giving a seminar with the strong participation of Faculty Dean Assoc. Prof. Karel Sládek and academic staff, Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek delivered a seminar on 'Radiation Safety and Protection'. The scientific session created a strong platform for knowledge exchange between the two universities.

Istanbul's cultural heritage and Üsküdar University's vision were introduced in Europe

Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek gave presentations to the academic staff and students of the host institution. Özdek, explaining Istanbul's historical depth and cultural richness, introduced Üsküdar University's innovative academic vision and international programs to a broad audience. The presentations were met with great interest and appreciation by the participants.

The latest status of radiation technology in modern healthcare services was discussed

One of the most important stops of the visit was Pardubice Hospital. Özdek, accompanied by Dr. Kateřina Haráčková, visited the Oncology Unit and consulted with healthcare professionals on clinical practices. The discussions held with healthcare professionals and doctors provided valuable insights into the integration of clinical practices with academic education and hospital practice. Subsequently, by examining the advanced technology radiotherapy devices introduced by Dr. Zuzana Pleskáčová at the Multiscan Center, she had the opportunity to observe the latest status of radiation technology in modern healthcare services on site.

Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek: "Mobility opens new doors for long-term cooperation"

Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek, who also experienced the academic traditions and corporate identity of Pardubice University during the visit, made evaluations about the success of the mobility program. Özdek said: "This mobility was an extremely meaningful experience both academically and culturally. The hospitality of our colleagues at Pardubice University greatly pleased us. I believe that this visit, which strengthened our inter-institutional ties, opens new doors for long-term and sustainable cooperation projects between Üsküdar University and Pardubice University."
