A departmental seminar was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering (English) of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Üsküdar University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muthumuni Managa, a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, University of South Africa (UNISA), participated in the seminar. Managa met with students and also visited the PROMER laboratory.
Managa, who visited Üsküdar University at the invitation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pınar Şen, a faculty member of the Department of Chemical Engineering (English), gave an informative presentation to the students.
The seminar, held in classroom A block 227 at the Central Campus, drew significant interest from students.
Dr. Managa Discussed His Scientific Works
Dr. Managa gave a seminar titled 'Conjugated Porphyrins to Nanostructured Materials and Their Applications'.
Dr. Managa presented his scientific studies on porphyrins, nanoparticles, and products produced by the combination of these two compounds, which aim to destroy bacteria using photodynamic methods.
Future Projects Were Discussed
Within the scope of the event, potential academic collaborations and future project goals were also evaluated.
PROMER Laboratory Was Also Visited
Following the presentation, Dr. Managa, accompanied by academics, visited the PROMER laboratory and received information about the laboratory's work.
The program, which was followed with great interest by the students, concluded with a group photo session.
