Artistic Periods Explained with Infographics

The Artistic Period Infographic Exhibition, held under the direction of Dr. Lecturer Nuray Ergindir Küçükkaya within the scope of the GİT357 Informative and Educational Content Design course of the Visual Communication Design Department, Faculty of Communication, Üsküdar University, was ceremonially opened. Üsküdar University's Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, and Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör also attended the opening and cut the ribbon. Participants showed great interest in the works displayed at the exhibition. 

The exhibition was ceremonially opened in the lobby area of Block A, South Campus, Üsküdar University. The ceremony was attended by Üsküdar University's Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Gül Esra Atalay, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Deniz Ülke Kaynak, Head of the Visual Communication Design Department of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. And Algül, and other faculty academics.

After cutting the opening ribbon, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör carefully examined the students' original infographic works, which combined art history with graphic design.

Dr. Lecturer Nuray Ergindir Küçükkaya shared her thoughts on the exhibition. Küçükkaya said, “Art is one of the most powerful communication tools in human history. Throughout ages, it builds bridges between the past and the present, connecting the voices of different periods, cultures, and understandings. In the Artistic Period Infographic Exhibition, we will explore art's universal and timeless power of communication by bringing this bridge together with visuals and information.”

Students opened a visual window into art history 

Students of the Visual Communication Design Department, Faculty of Communication, Üsküdar University, are opening a visual window into art history with the infographic works they prepared within the scope of the Informative and Educational Content Design course conducted in the Fall Semester.

Art history met graphic design

Within the scope of the course conducted under the guidance of Dr. Lecturer Nuray Ergindir Küçükkaya from the Visual Communication Design Department of the Faculty of Communication, students designed original infographics introducing assigned artists and the periods they belonged to.

The lives, works, and artistic understandings of painters from different periods of art history transformed into impressive visual narratives after passing through the students' research and design filters.
