The “Artificial Intelligence Summit” was organized by Google Developer Groups On Campus Üsküdar Üniversitesi Club. Many experts in their fields attended the summit, where information about the future of artificial intelligence was shared. Experts shared information with participants regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the business world and the latest technological developments.
The summit took place at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Central Campus, Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall.
Among those who attended the summit were Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Software Engineering Department Deputy Head Dr. Lecturer Kristin Surpuhi Benli, Google Developer Groups On Campus Üsküdar Üniversitesi Club President Şahinde Ebru Gürdal, along with club members, academicians, and students.
Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci: “Artificial intelligence will benefit our future with great development”
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci delivered the opening speech of the summit. Çerezci emphasized that artificial intelligence provides benefits in every field; “We are witnessing artificial intelligence entering every phase of our lives, every segment of society. We see how great benefits it provides in the military field, medical field, in the diagnosis of diseases, and in institutions making inferences about their futures. Of course, there is also a flip side to this. While it is used positively, what effects will emerge if it is used negatively? We hope that its negative use will be less, and it will be much more helpful in serving society, humanity, and life in a positive way. Therefore, artificial intelligence will benefit our future with a great development. We will witness very important developments; it is a very exciting topic.” he said.

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Software Engineering Department Deputy Head Dr. Lecturer Kristin Surpuhi Benli delivered an opening speech at the summit. Benli; “We used to see artificial intelligence in science fiction movies, but now we use artificial intelligence in every sector, from health to education, from finance to production. We use artificial intelligence as a supporting tool. Our main goal here is to improve processes and increase efficiency. I hope the information we learn here today will be beneficial for future engineer candidates. Currently, you are part of this summit, but in the future, you will be part of technology and vision. I hope the information you hear here will be useful for you and contribute to the development and transformation of your horizons.” she said.

Google Developer Groups On Campus Üsküdar Üniversitesi Club President Şahinde Ebru Gürdal delivered the opening speech at the summit. Gürdal; “It is a great honor for me and my teammates to share this special moment at the Artificial Intelligence Summit, where we will discuss future technologies, especially artificial intelligence. I am rightfully proud and happy to organize the first summit in our club's history held at our university. Organizing this summit was not just an event for us, but also a true test of teamwork and overcoming challenges. I must state that every challenge we faced throughout the process made us realize once again not only the importance of patience but also the significance of producing innovative solutions. I sincerely thank all my teammates.” she said.

In the first session of the summit, Ramazan Sarı, AI Product Owner at Turkish Tecnology, Sinem Saka, Generative Artificial Intelligence Instructor, and Kardel Rüveyda Çetin, Expert Software Engineer at Doğuş Teknoloji, took part as speakers. The experts provided important information on the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into business processes, the latest technological developments, and their applications in different sectors.
In the second session, Berhan Türkü Ay, AI Research Engineer at HUAWEI, and Fahri Emre Reçber, Founder & Business Facilitator & Lecturer at Datinova, participated as speakers. It was emphasized that artificial intelligence extends the boundaries of technology, making business processes more efficient, and offering innovative solutions to daily life.
In the last session of the summit, Videolity Founder Deniz Çiçek Elitez delivered her speech.
Following the conclusion of the speeches, the results of the raffle held within the scope of the summit were shared.
