Üsküdar Üniversitesi Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Health Application and Research Center (ÜSGÜMER), in collaboration with MESKA Foundation and Occupational Safety Experts Association (İSGDER), organized an event titled ‘Artificial Intelligence Applications in Occupational Health and Safety’ within the scope of the ‘1 Topic 1 Guest’ event series. At the event, MEDİTEK Software founder Abidin Özler explained artificial intelligence applications in the field of occupational health and safety. Özler pointed out that significant transformations can be experienced in occupational safety with the correct use of technology.

Faculty academics and students, including Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences Deputy Dean Dr. Lecturer Nuri Bingöl, Head of Occupational Health and Safety Department, Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Lecturer Rüştü Uçan, Deputy Head of Occupational Health and Safety Department Dr. Lecturer Sertaç Temur, and Research Assistant Ender Sezen, attended the event.
Participants gained up-to-date and practical information on how artificial intelligence can be utilized in occupational safety processes.
Abidin Özler: “Those who do not keep up with change are left behind”
MEDİTEK Software founder Abidin Özler drew attention to the role of technology in occupational health and safety. Özler stated, “Technologies are constantly evolving. We cannot say that people have discovered almost everything anymore. Even the head of the American Patent Office in the 1800s said, ‘There is nothing left to discover.’ However, development and change never stopped, and they will not stop. We cannot be closed off to technology; on the contrary, we must use it extensively and correctly. Today, those who do not keep up with this change are left behind.'
At the end of the event, Head of Occupational Health and Safety Department Dr. Lecturer Rüştü Uçan presented a certificate to MEDİTEK Software founder Abidin Özler.
