Following the major earthquake disaster in our country that affected 10 provinces, many non-governmental organizations are developing different projects in line with the needs of the disaster region to help earthquake victims. The Kuzey Yıldızı Trabzonsporlular Association also launched the “Evim Evindir” (My Home is Your Home) project for earthquake victims who lost their homes in the disaster. Volunteers who brought together homeowners wanting to open their homes to those affected by the earthquake after the disaster and earthquake victims launched the website “www.evimevindir.com”. Seda Cebeci, a 2020 graduate of Üsküdar University's Advertising Design and Communication department and one of the association's volunteers, provided information about the project they initiated.

They Bring Earthquake Victims Warm Homes Through the Website
Following the major earthquake disaster, under the leadership of the Kuzey Yıldızı Trabzonsporlular Association, a bridge was built between earthquake victims who could not return to their homes and philanthropists who wanted to open their homes. The website, prepared by over 100 young volunteers from different universities and professional groups, matches philanthropists opening their homes with earthquake victims.
In collaboration with the technology team and volunteer university students who came together within the scope of the project, a mobilization has been launched to provide a solution to the housing needs of earthquake victims through the “www.evimevindir.com” website, created as part of the “Evim Evindir Project”.
“We Are Mediating for Earthquake Victims to Find Their New Homes”
Seda Cebeci, a 2020 graduate of Üsküdar University's “Advertising Design and Communication” department, who has shown great effort for the platform, is active in the “Evin Evimdir” (Your Home is My Home) project with volunteer university students organized by the Kuzey Yıldızı Trabzonsporlular Association. Cebeci, stating that she has been a volunteer in the communication team for 7 days with this initiative; “In previous periods, I was involved in the activities of the University Trabzonspor Fans Club Presidency. After the earthquake disaster, I met the volunteer university students organized by the Kuzey Yıldızı Trabzonsporlular Association and joined this team.” she said.

Cebeci, who also served as the president of the ÜniTS Club at Üsküdar University, stated that she is a volunteer in the communication and social media aspects, and that with the “Evin Evimdir” (Your Home is My Home) project they initiated, they aim to meet the housing needs of earthquake victims whose homes were damaged or destroyed. Expressing their desire to be a source of hope for earthquake victims with the project, Cebeci emphasized that they are facilitating the reunion of earthquake victims with their new homes.
More Than 1500 Families, Approximately 7000 People Housed
Through the platform, which brought together earthquake victims and philanthropists wanting to open their homes to them via advertisements posted on the site, more than 1500 families and nearly 7000 people were housed. In a very short time, over 1 million people accessed the site. As a result of people from all over the country supporting the project with a sense of solidarity, many earthquake victims found warm homes.
