“Applied Project Cycle Management” Training in Nursing

In collaboration with the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Üsküdar University and the Social Contribution Coordination Office, an “Applied Project Cycle Management” training was held. During the training, social innovation-based project development processes, sustainable impact-oriented studies, and interdisciplinary collaboration models were discussed. 

Academicians and research assistants from the Department of Nursing attended the program held at Üsküdar University NP Health Campus.

High Participation in the Training Program

While Asst. Prof. Hatice Demirdağ from the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, coordinated the training program, the project cycle management training was provided by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Üsküdar University Social Contribution Coordinator and Director of Young Brains Academy.

Within the scope of the program, participants shared their social innovation-based project ideas and made interactive evaluations on impact-oriented studies that could be developed within the department.

Social Innovation and Sustainable Projects Discussed

Within the scope of the training; the transformative impact of social innovation in the health sector, sustainable impact-oriented project design, interdisciplinary collaboration models, and innovative practices that can be developed within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals were comprehensively evaluated.

Prof. Selma Doğan: “Nursing is a powerful academic field that guides social change”

Prof. Selma Doğan, Head of the Department of Nursing, emphasized the strategic role of the nursing discipline in the transforming health ecosystem, stating:

“Nursing is not only a caregiving profession but also a powerful academic field that guides social change, produces science, and develops solutions. With the increasing complexity of health problems in today's world, interdisciplinary collaborations and social innovation-based approaches are of critical importance.”

Doğan also emphasized the importance of scientific production transforming into societal benefit and finding concrete application in the field.

Asst. Prof. Hatice Demirdağ, the program coordinator, stated that the nursing discipline is not limited to clinical practices only, and drew attention to the necessity of transferring academic knowledge to the field through social impact-oriented projects. Demirdağ said; “Nursing is one of the pioneering fields of social transformation.”

Certificates Presented to Participants

At the end of the applied training process conducted within the scope of the program, participants had the opportunity to present their developed project ideas. Participation and achievement certificates were presented to the academicians and research assistants who successfully completed the training.
