Büşra Akgül, President of the Emergency and Disaster Management Club affiliated with Üsküdar Üniversitesi's Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department and a final year student of the Emergency and Disaster Management Program, voluntarily served in the forest fires that occurred in different regions of our country.

She served on the ground in Sakarya, Izmir, and Silivri

Büşra Akgül, who actively served as a Forest Volunteer in the fires that broke out in Sakarya, Izmir, and Silivri, received great appreciation for her dedicated and courageous efforts in the disaster areas.

Loud applause at the graduation ceremony… 

These meaningful and exemplary volunteer activities were shared with the participants through a special announcement at Üsküdar Üniversitesi's 12th Graduation Ceremony.

Returns to the field after the ceremony

After the ceremony, Akgül immediately headed back to the fire zone in Izmir.

Aims to create disaster awareness and consciousness

Büşra Akgül also initiated many events and projects aimed at raising disaster awareness and consciousness through her student activities and club presidency within the university.

She recommended young people to engage in volunteerism

Akgül stated that she would continue her work in this field after graduation and emphasized the importance of young people engaging in volunteerism.
