Accreditation certificates for Üsküdar Üniversitesi Communication Faculty's Visual Communication Design and Advertising programs, accredited by the Communication Research Association (İLAD), were presented to the department heads at a ceremony held in the Central Campus Senate Hall. Üsküdar Communication Faculty's Visual Communication Design department became the first department to receive a 5-year accreditation.
Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz, President of İLAD, Prof. Dr. Recep Tayfun, President of İLEDAK, Prof. Dr. Jale Sarmaşık, Vice President of İLAD, and Dursun Güleryüz, Board Member of İLAD, along with Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Bahar Muratoğlu Pehlivan, Head of Visual Communication Design Department Prof. Dr. And Algül, Head of Advertising Department Prof. Dr. Özgül Dağlı, and faculty members and research assistants from the Advertising and Visual Communication departments attended the ceremony held in the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Senate Hall.
As Üsküdar Communication Faculty, we had a successful accreditation process
Delivering the opening speech of the certificate ceremony, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör stated that as the Faculty of Communication, they put a lot of effort into the accreditation process and had a successful outcome. Prof. Dr. Güngör congratulated the heads of departments and faculty members who earned İLAD accreditation, adding that other programs are also preparing for accreditation.
Üsküdar Üniversitesi enhances quality management efficiency every day
Speaking at the ceremony, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, delivered a speech emphasizing that Üsküdar Üniversitesi places special importance on quality and accreditation processes. Prof. Dr. Tarhan stated; “Quality management increases efficiency. Quality is the most important value of this era. The better we utilize it, the more power and level we achieve. We continuously discuss quality in the Senate, encouraging units. Quality is a standing agenda item of our weekly Senate meetings. He emphasized that it is gratifying that two more of our programs have been accredited.

İLAD President Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz delivered a speech addressing the importance of İLAD accreditation. Aysel Aziz said; “You put a lot of effort into accreditation. We know it's not an easy task. You are a university that has supported us from the very beginning and applied for accreditation, which is very important; you trusted us from the start, and we thank you very much. Your Visual Communication Design Department became the first department to receive a 5-year accreditation. We congratulate them specifically. Your Advertising department also received a 2-year accreditation. We congratulate that department too and wish them continued success.”
Certificates awarded to department heads
Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication Visual Communication Design program, as a result of the evaluation conducted by the Communication Education Evaluation and Accreditation Board (İLEDAK), qualified for a 5-year accreditation by the Communication Research Association (İLAD). The accreditation decision was communicated to the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Communication Dean's Office with the signature of İLAD President Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz. Similarly, the Advertising program was also accredited for 2 years. At the certificate ceremony, Prof. Dr. Aysel Aziz presented the Visual Communication Design program accreditation certificate and the Advertising program accreditation certificate to Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör. Prof. Güngör, in turn, presented the certificates to Prof. Dr. And Algül, Head of the Visual Communication Design Department, and Prof. Dr. Özgül Dağlı, Head of the Advertising Department.
